First things first: there’s no agenda here. I’m not running because of a laser focus on some small issue, nor some staff member I’m advocating for or opposed to. Our school corporation is going to continue to face challenges moving forward, and I want to help create solutions to keep this community great.

When I think about my own two daughters, I want to know they are safe, cared for, and taught well for each of the 180 days they spend at school each year. I want to know they’re being prepared for their own futures, and for those futures to be bright. I want the same for each of your children, and I want that for all of our kids’ kids when they return to create their own futures and thrive in northern Wells County. Thinking through the challenges faced by so many districts in our great state and nation, it’s easy to see that we will continue to face challenges today and in the future; I would love the opportunity to be a part of that conversation.

Faculty, staff, coaches, and administrators are the real drivers (not just busses) of a safe and positive learning environment for our kids. I want to help create policies and environments to create a school corporation that attracts passionate, capable talent who makes Norwell their home for their entire career. Those staff members who come early in their careers and stay here for 30-something years (hopefully you saw the News-Banner article earlier this year about Mr. Weinert!) are a huge part of what makes the Norwell Community so special. I was positively impacted by so many incredible people at Norwell, and I want that same opportunity and experience for all of our kids.
